Apple announced watchOS 5 with some new features.
First, you can challenge friends to fitness competitions. Apple Watch also now tracks yoga sessions, has better support for hiking and supports paces for runners, and it should now detect and suggest starting and stopping workouts.
Secondly, a new “Walkie Talkie” mode lets you send and receive push-to-talk audio messages. Third, a Siri watch face supports Shortcuts and content from third-party apps. And, you don’t have to say “Hey, Siri” anymore; you can just raise your wrist toward your face to activate Siri.
And finally, Apple Watch will support some web content via a tiny browser. Oh, and the Apple Podcasts app is coming to Apple Watch.
